Dancehall Queenstyle / Female Dancehall / Sensual Female Dancehall
Dancehall is a constantly evolving Jamaican street dance style that originated in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Dancehall is energetic and expressive, combining sharp accents, fluid movements, and attitude. Female Dancehall and Dancehall Queenstyle focus on the feminine side of Dancehall. These styles highlight femininity and sexuality in a powerful and captivating way. Dancehall is empowering, liberating, and truly fun!
Female Dancehall
In Female Dancehall classes, the focus is on the feminine side of Dancehall, which includes strong hip movements, attitude, and expression. In these classes, you will learn moves created by Jamaican female dancers as well as a variety of hip techniques. No acrobatics are included.
Dancehall Queenstyle
In Dancehall Queenstyle classes, the focus is on the feminine and bold side of Dancehall, which includes strong hip movements, acrobatic elements, attitude, expression, and style. In these classes, you will learn moves created by Jamaican female dancers, various hip techniques, and acrobatics. For the acrobatic parts, both easier and more challenging variations are always offered, so you can practice at your own level.
Sensual Female Dancehall
Sensual Female Dancehall focuses on the softer and slower movement style of Female Dancehall. This dance style emphasizes confidence, sensuality, and femininity, while still reflecting the powerful movement, attitude, and energy of Dancehall.
In class, you will practice various hip techniques, moves created by Jamaican female dancers, expressive skills, and floorwork. The music is slower-tempo Dancehall tracks.
These classes provide an effective workout while allowing you to dive into the captivating world of Dancehall.
It's recommended to bring knee pads and sneakers to the class.

Commercial Dance
Commercial Dance is a fusion dance style. It is similar in style to music videos and choreographies seen in the background of the artists. The classes are heavily influenced by the techniques of different dance styles. The teacher's own style is strongly represented in the choreographies.
During the class you will learn isolation of different body parts, versatile movements from different dance styles and techniques. However, the main focus of the class is on learning choreography. The music varies according to the styles of the choreographies, but a lot of well-known songs are played in the class.
Comfortable clothes and training sneakers are good equipment for the class.

Twerk
Twerk has its roots in African dances. However, twerk has evolved into a dance style of its own as part of African-American Hip Hop culture and is well known from Rap and Hip Hop music videos. There are so many dance styles around the world that involve hip movements, and Twerk has spread and merged through cultural encounters. Nowadays there are so many different styles of songs that sing about Twerking. In twerk, Hip Hop is most often used as music, but also Afrobeat, Reggaeton, Brazil Funk, Soca & Dancehall can be used.
Twerk is wonderfully sexy, fun and full of attitude! The classes focus on lower body control, pelvic movements and various booty shaking and popping techniques. In addition to technique exercises, choreography is also danced in the class.
Knee pads, comfortable clothes and training sneakers are good equipment for the class.
Sensual Twerk
Sensual Twerk is a dance style that combines the powerful hip techniques of twerk with a more sensual and seductive movement style. It highlights confidence, sexiness, and femininity in a beautifully soft yet bold way!
In class, you will practice different hip techniques, body isolations, floorwork, expression, and choreography. The music often features slower tracks from various genres such as Hip Hop, R'n'B, Afrobeat, Dancehall, and Reggaeton.
It's recommended to bring knee pads to these classes.
